| I am a co-founding, certified member of the CBHA, (Canadian Barefoot Horse Association). I am also an AHA (American Hoof Association) certified member. As well I am a past certified practitioner under the original AANHCP protocol.
The AANCHP certification program required students to complete 10 steps of training to complete certification. The steps included education in hoof anatomy, distal limb anatomy, horse anatomy, natural diet & horse care, natural horsemanship & horse handling skills and of course trimming on live horses. The training is very in depth with a minimum of 10 separate field instructors.
Below are some pictures of my training in the USA, please refer back to this training and certification page to follow my progress in the program. I hope to be a fully certified practitioner and field instructor by fall 2006. Aside from the instructors depicted in the photos below, I have trained with Chad Bembenic, AHA, Mike Stelskie, AANHCP, Monica Meer, AANHCP, Richard Drewry, AANHCP, Bruce Nock, AANHCP. I have also attended Dr. Robert Bowker's seminars which are recognized as continuing education for vets in the U.S. To date I continue to broaden my knowledge through personal research, attending clinics and following cutting edge research by leading scientists and other professionals.
